Director of Nursing

Cascades at Port Arthur is a fantastic skilled nursing facility located in Port Arthur, TX. We provide exceptional short-term rehab and long-term care for our beloved geriatric residents.

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to become our new Director of Nursing. If you have prior successful SNF/LTC DON or ADON experience, strong leadership skills, and have the drive to help our facility continue to thrive, we'd love to hear from you!

• Develop and maintain the nursing programs and activities
• Develop, maintain, and periodically update written nursing policies, procedures, manuals, objectives, and philosophies
• Assist in developing and implementing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services
• Implement plans of action to correct deficiencies
• Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charts, etc.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a quality assurance program
• Assist in planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining resident discharge procedures and plans
• Develop and implement a nursing services organization structure
• Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies
• Create, submit reports and recommendations to the Administrator concerning operations of the department

• Minimum Associate's degree. Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must possess an active Texas Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Minimum one year of successful nursing leadership experience in a SNF/long-term care facility
• Demonstrable leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of applicable SNF nursing rules & regulations
• Must speak and understand English
