Emergency Room Nurse Urgent Backfill Opportunity Starting January 26, 2026 Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Emergency Room Nurse and play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, rural Critical Access Hospital. This is an urgent backfill position with a chance to start sooner than scheduled, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise while working on a 7-on, 7-off night shift schedule (7 PM 7 AM).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality emergency and med/surg nursing care to trauma and medical patients Deliver timely interventions, patient assessments, and collaborative treatment plans Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures Adapt to fluctuating patient care needs in a rural healthcare setting Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Required Skills:

Proven experience in Emergency Room and Medical/Surgical nursing Current Licensure as an RN (State licensure required) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred) Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Valid driver s license and reliable transportation (no Uber or public transit in town) Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience in rural or Critical Access Hospital settings Additional certifications in trauma or specialty care Ability to adapt quickly to shift changes and high-pressure situations Preferred

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher Minimum of 2 years of ER and med/surg nursing experience in a hospital setting Other Requirements:
