Peri-Operative Registered Nurse

Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. Located in the heart of West Texas, the hospital opened in 1949 and was originally near downtown Stanton. In 2012 it moved to a state‑of‑the‑art 18‑bed facility on I‑20 and has been designated a Critical Access Hospital.

Full‑time;
Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m.‑5 p.m.

• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians in line with current clinical nursing practice.
• Direct, monitor, and evaluate care delegated to non‑licensed personnel.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to assure safe and accurate delivery of care.
• Perform technical services in a cross‑functional mode to comprehensively serve patient needs.
• Under the direction of the laboratory, handle patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• License to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nursing or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact.
• Successful completion of AHA‑approved courses in BLS upon hire.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire; PALS preferred.
