Are you an LVN looking for a nursing opportunity that offers variety, purpose, and the chance to make a meaningful impact?
TK Health is hiring a Full-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team at the San Jacinto County Jail in Coldspring, Texas.
Correctional healthcare gives nurses the opportunity to use a broad range of clinical skills while caring for a diverse patient population. No two days are exactly the same, and you'll work alongside a healthcare team focused on providing quality, compassionate care in a secure environment.
Correctional nursing experience is not required. If you have a current Texas LVN license and a strong commitment to patient care, we can help you learn the correctional healthcare environment.
Schedule- Full-Time
- Day Shift
- Rotating weekends
- Providing nursing care within your scope of practice
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered
- Performing patient assessments and monitoring changes in condition
- Assisting with sick call and ongoing patient care
- Maintaining accurate medical documentation
- Communicating with providers and other members of the healthcare team
- Responding appropriately to medical needs within the facility
- Helping ensure continuity and quality of care for our patients
- Current, unrestricted Texas LVN license
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable and team-oriented
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
