LPN​/LVN - LTC

Nursing Position

Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection. Performs technical nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations after demonstration of competency. Documents and reports pertinent observations. Communicates both orally and in writing to other team members pertinent information. Documents according to facility policy. Responds to emergency situations to ensure safety of individuals. Follows safety and infection control procedures.

Monitors individuals for treatments and procedures. Collects specimens for laboratory examination and conducts appropriate screening tests when requested by laboratory personnel. Provides education to individuals with specific health goals. Assists other staff in turning and repositioning individuals to administer treatments. Ensures that supplies are available. Manages individual's medical record in electronic health record or paper chart. Attends work regularly and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shifts, and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy.

Performs other duties as assigned.
