TDCJ - Agriculture Specialist IV - Livestock Job Midway Texas USA,Outdoor/Nature/Animal Care

Location: Midway

Job Duties:

Daily animal husbandry to include feeding, administering medications, cleaning, and ensuring proper animal nutrition.

Maintaining inventories of animals, medication, and equipment

Working outside in the elements

Repairing equipment

Supervision of inmates. You'd be a GOOD fit if:

You have additional education or experience with livestock

You have experience in livestock production

You have experience in crop production

You have experience in farm equipment management.

You'd be a GREAT fit if:

If you have continuing education in animal science or agriculture

If you have construction, maintenance, or farm equipment repair experience.

You have knowledge of livestock management methods and techniques to include safe and effective handling, animal nutrition, and maintaining animal health.

You are self-motivated

You have a strong work ethic.

You have a background in caring for cattle and horses.

You have experience riding and training horses.

You have swine experience.
