Quality Control Associate
Location: Hempstead, TX 77445
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime may be required)
Pay: $20.00+ per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
Join Our Team!VSSI Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Control Associate to join a growing manufacturing team in Hempstead, TX. This position plays a vital role in ensuring products meet quality standards through inspections, measurements, testing, and documentation.
If you have experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and performing quality inspections in a manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:- Perform first article inspections and in-process quality inspections.
- Conduct equipment calibrations and maintain calibration records.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and other precision tools.
- Complete quality documentation and data entry accurately.
- Assist with trimming and other production-related tasks as needed.
- Identify and report quality concerns to supervisors and production teams.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Previous Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and inspection equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and machine shop environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
