Hallettsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center – Hallettsville, TX.

Position Type:
Full Time.

• The Cook ensures that the resident meals are properly prepared and apportioned according to the resident’s diet specifications, facility procedures, and prescribed dietary and sanitary regulations.

• Prepared food items on assigned/scheduled menus
• Maintains sanitation of equipment and utensils, work area, storage, and serving area
• Follow proper food handling procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Texas Food Handler Certificate is preferred

• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods
• Knowledge of Universal Precautions and rules that govern hazardous waste
• Previous experience in skilled nursing facility is preferred
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
