Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled, committed, and passionate culinary professional for the position of Line Cook at the Lytle Park Hotel. The role offers free parking or a free monthly bus pass.
What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do- Prepare stations, produce food, execute menu items, and ensure pristine plate presentation that surpasses guest expectations.
- Complete daily prep responsibilities and set line for service.
- Prepare all hot food items according to standard recipes or as specified on the guest check.
- Ensure consistency of product for the guest.
- Check the quality of food as it arrives in the kitchen and inform the Sous Chef of any damaged product.
- Properly label, date, and store all food.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary work area and report safety issues.
- Meet high standards of food preparation in a timely fashion while performing multitasks.
- Follow standard recipes and presentations to meet food cost and quality requirements.
- Continuously look for ways to increase productivity.
- Handle food and rotate it according to established procedures, including cooking and cooling temperatures.
- Utilize proper and safe knife skills.
- Order food requisitions in collaboration with the Sous Chef according to business needs.
- Respect and accommodate the food server’s requests regarding guest preferences.
- Maintain full line of communication with supervisors.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Sous Chef or assist in any area needed.
Must have at least one (1) year of related culinary experience, with hot line experience required. Hospitality experience preferred. CompensationActual compensation packages are based on a wide range of factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
