Host​/Runner​/Busser

Location: Hilltop Tavern – Woodway, TX

Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time

Hilltop Tavern is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented individual to join our front-of-house team! This is a flexible, hands-on position that combines the responsibilities of a host, busser, food runner, and dining room support team member.

We are looking for someone who is willing and able to perform all four roles based on the needs of the restaurant. Responsibilities may change throughout a shift depending on guest volume, staffing, and business needs. Flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential!

Hosting

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive.
• Manage the waitlist and assist with seating guests.
• Answer the phone and assist with basic guest inquiries.
• Help maintain an organized and welcoming entrance.
• Communicate table availability and guest needs with the serving team.

Bussing and Table Maintenance

• Clear dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware promptly.
• Clean and sanitize tables and reset them for the next guests.
• Keep the dining room clean, organized, and presentable.
• Assist with stocking supplies and completing side work.

Food Running

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables accurately and promptly.
• Ensure food is delivered with a sense of urgency and attention to presentation.
• Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to keep service running smoothly.

General Dining Room Support

• Assist servers and other team members wherever needed.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
• Help with opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
• Transition between hosting, bussing, and food running as business needs change.

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up ready to work.
• Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with guests.
• Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Willing to take direction and help wherever needed.
• Able to stay on your feet for extended periods and perform the physical duties of the position.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Restaurant experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

We need a true team player who understands that this is a cross-trained, multi-role position
. We are not hiring someone who only wants to host, bus tables, or run food. We need someone who is comfortable doing all three, along with general dining room support, and who can adjust their responsibilities based on the needs of the restaurant.
