Job Summary:

Maintains store conditions per Company standards. Engages with customers, bags and transports groceries, locates products, and conducts price verifications. Performs various customer service duties while maintaining a safe and sanitary shopping environment.

• Bag groceries properly by grouping like items, limiting bag weight, preventing cross-contamination, and ensuring customers receive all purchased items.
• Collect and return shopping carts; keep parking lot free of trash; communicate incidents or concerns to management.
• Stock and present front-end racks, drink coolers, and cleaning supply stations.
• Promote product sales through active customer engagement.
• Handle items carefully to avoid damage to products or property.
• Clean breakrooms/restrooms and face products to ensure proper store conditions.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with bagging and transporting groceries to vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by following Company safety procedures and policies.

• Courteous demeanor with customers at all times.
• Effective written and verbal communication with customers and partners.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to hazards and ability to place warning signs or remedies promptly.
• Report hazards to a supervisor when needed.

• Typically involves on-the-job training.
• Minimum age: 16 years old.
• Partners must be 21+ to drive for Company business per the BGC Business Driver Policy.

• Close and distance vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
• Stand or walk for extended periods; talk and hear.
• Manual dexterity for reaching, handling, and lifting up to 40 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, or squatting; attendance is required.

• Retail store setting; exposure to outside temperatures and weather.
• Occasional exposure to wet, slippery, or damp conditions; cleaning agents.
• Quiet to moderate noise level.
