Customer Service Associate I

Family Dollar is looking for a Customer Service Associate to provide excellent shopping experiences for all customers. This role is part of our Family Dollar retail team.

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Conduct sales transactions and operate assigned cash register
• Maintain cash security and uphold company asset protection
• Keep the store well‑stocked, including restocking and recovering merchandise
• Assist with receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and replenishing stock while meeting productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment by interacting professionally with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash areas, and overall presentation
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required
• Physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs. from floor to height and sustain frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required
• Strong organizational and communication skills required
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills required
