• Provide superior customer service and greet customers at the deli counter
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh deli products using the Fresh Production Planner and ordering system applications
• Maintain the deli department’s organization, sanitation, and food safety standards
• Perform inventory management processes (MSI, PAW) and assist with catering orders
• Use suggestive selling techniques and basic product knowledge to meet customer needs and build sales
• Clean and sanitize display cases, operate and maintain deli equipment, and comply with H‑E‑B food safety and sanitation standards

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge (PC, label machine, scales) and the ability to lift 55 lbs and manage in excess of 65 lbs safely
• Completion of Company Orientation, food safety, and sanitation training upon hire
