La Vernia Sanitation - Overnight Store Sanitation Spec - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Maintain department fixtures and equipment cleanliness by performing total store sanitation tasks.
• Deep clean and disinfect processing areas and departments, including equipment, fixtures, coolers, floors, and drains.
• Maintain proper documentation and certification of chemical handling and sanitation verification functions.
• Use cleaning chemicals and tools properly; apply knowledge of product handling, food preparation processes, and department equipment.
• Operate pest control traps and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Communicate maintenance needs, process improvements, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders.
• Work with and around customers, assisting them in locating products.
• Perform all duties of Total Store Sanitation Rep when needed.

• 1+ years of experience in maintenance or sanitation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18.
• Completion of company orientation, in‑store orientation, basics of safety, annual food handler, and basic HAZMAT/chemical safety certifications upon hire.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and basic product handling.
• Strong communication, time‑management, and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and work late evenings and overnight schedules.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and with a team mindset.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and manage more than 50 lbs, perform repetitive tasks such as standing, bending, pushing/pulling, reaching, and exposure to wet, cold, hot, and noisy environments.

• Constantly reach waist, grasp and work in wet conditions.
• Frequently stand, walk, reach at shoulder or knee, bend, push or pull with arms, and be exposed to cold conditions.
• Occasionally reach overhead, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb stairs or ladders, pivot, twist, pinch, perform fine motor movements, and be exposed to hot ambient temperatures and loud noise.
• Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs and manage more than 50 lbs.
