Processes meat products, fulfills special customer requests, maintains market and seafood cases, rotates and restocks prepackaged meats, and promotes customer service.

• Process meat by removing fat, tenderizing, grinding, and/or cutting to proper thickness and size.
• Cuts, weighs, packages, and labels product using precision and non‑precision hand tools.
• Cleans, assembles, and prepares machinery and equipment for operation, ensuring proper function.
• Checks product for quality control and food safety standards, adhering to product labeling regulations.
• Stacks pallets and sorts product into correct locations based on company standards.
• Provides friendly customer service, greeting customers, answering questions, and fulfilling special request cuts.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment by following company safety procedures.

• Safe handling of sharp tools such as knives and box cutters.
• Operation and maintenance of department equipment.
• Use of non‑precision and precision hand tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication with customers and partners.
• Learning new systems, methods, and processes.
• Work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Identify hazards and apply warning signs or devices promptly; report unredundant hazards to a supervisor.

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Drivers 21 and older required to operate company vehicles (BGC Business Driver Policy).
• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience; or equivalent education/experience.
• Food Handler certification required.

• Continually use close vision, distance vision, depth perception, or the ability to focus.
• Continually stand or walk; use hands for reaching, touching, and handling.
• Maintain steady hands for fine finger movements.
• Lift objects up to 40 lbs;; frequently lift up to 75 lbs; occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
• Talk and hear frequently; bend, kneel, or squat often.
• Attendance at work is required.

• Performed in a retail store setting.
• Continuous exposure to equipment with sharp blades or edges.
• Continuous exposure to extreme cold conditions (non‑weather).
• Continuous exposure to wet, slippery, or damp conditions.
• Frequent exposure to cleaning agents.
• Moderate to loud noise level.
