The City of Port Isabel is currently accepting applications for the following position:

FULL-TIME PUBLIC WORKS Maintenance Laborer

REPORTS TO:

Public Works Director

SALARY:
Depending on Qualifications

Must be knowledgeable of basic construction methods. Knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices, must be able to communicate orally and in writing, skilled in performing work requiring strength and agility in all weather conditions; skilled in using a variety of equipment including shovels, picks, jackhammers, circular saws, chainsaws, and drills. Must have the ability to clear vegetation/trash from city streets, sidewalks, and alleys quickly and safely;

ability to follow oral and written directions; ability to identify and correct potential safety hazards, ability to quickly identify details of distant objects.

• Must be 18 years or older and have a Valid Texas Drivers License
