Transdev in Perryton, TX is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment.

• Competitive compensation package: $26.00 – $32.00 per hour
• Vacation: minimum of two weeks

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe by performing repairs and basic/advanced maintenance.
• Conduct mechanical repairs under moderate supervision including brakes, engine tune‑ups, suspensions, transmissions, etc.
• Maintain records of all maintenance work, complete work orders, order parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance at prescribed intervals.
• Remove and replace/repair engine, transmission, and differential assemblies.
• Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair.
• Notify supervisor of potential hazards and corrective actions.
• Evaluate completed work prior to release and seek approval when required.
• Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary.
• Adhere to Transdev standards, policies, and procedures.
• Move vehicles safely between job sites and work area.
• Repair and maintain all shop equipment; clean vehicles as required.
• Other duties as requested.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Class B CDL with air brake endorsement preferred.
• State inspection license if required.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude and 5 years of automotive or diesel repair experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain an organized and clean shop environment.
• Substance abuse and physical exam as required by DOT regulations.

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outdoors.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); walk long distances; perform rugged activities on uneven surfaces.
• Push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs., bend, kneel, or crouch as required.
• Operate in heavy traffic, dust, fumes, and noise environments.
