Termite Technician (Waco, TX) at Terminix
Join to apply for the Termite Technician (Waco, TX) role s role involves protecting customers’ properties from wood destroying organisms through inspections, prevention, and treatment services.
Responsibilities- Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
- Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
- Apply anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions
- Communicate to the customer critical conditions conducive to termite activity and discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to the treatment process
- Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
- Complete production forms documenting services provided
- Interact with customers and explain services provided
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
- Prepare the job site for treatment
- Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders
- Be comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder and in small confined spaces
- General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is a plus
- Ability to work on roofs and in high areas
- Move frequently — sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps and poles
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as OSHA-compliant respirators and work in confined spaces or narrow passages as needed
- Clean-shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal to face)
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided)
- At least 1 year of customer service experience; termite control experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Flexible with working hours (Monday–Friday and Saturdays as needed)
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations (covered by us)
- Basic math skills — ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow product label mixing instructions
