Preventative Maintenance Technician

• Learn to read gas meters and instrumentation recording the amounts of gas received/delivered/consumed and report any operational, temperature and pressure changes as needed in operating logs
• Learn to watch gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly
• Learn the function and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems associated with natural gas compressors
• Learn to properly set units and perform start-up procedures on location
• Learn to maintain replacement/repair parts for assigned units
• Learn to use hand tools to clean, lubricate, adjust equipment, replace filters, gaskets and other items while identifying what kind of maintenance is needed
• Learn to properly use electronic devices for troubleshooting, testing or commissioning equipment
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance
• Will have call-out rotation responsibilities and respond to unscheduled service calls
• Submit accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork
• Maintain a current and valid drivers license
• Other duties as assigned

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and efficiently utilize other software tools and applications that are beneficial to the position
• Communicate information effectively with all levels of co-workers by phone, email or in person
• Able to work independently or with others

• High school diploma or GED is preferred
• 1+ years mechanical experience on engines and/or other mechanical equipment
