LHH is working with an international manufacturer that is seeking a Senior Logistics and Compliance Specialist to lead and optimize logistics operations, ensure full import/export compliance, and manage relationships third‑party logistics (3PL) providers.
>100% onsite role in Haslet, Texas. M-F 8am to 5pm.Compensation up to $85k + benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external 3PL providers to resolve shipment delays and documentation issues.
- Track and report on 3PL performance metrics, including delivery accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transmissions, collaborating with IT and logistics teams to resolve errors.
- Lead cycle counting programs across external warehouse locations, ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Ensure accurate classification of goods using HTS codes and maintain up-to-date knowledge of international trade regulations.
- Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to resolve compliance issues and facilitate customs clearance.
- Oversee compliance processes for bonded and Free Trade Zone (FTZ) warehouses.
- Support internal audits and external inspections related to logistics and trade compliance.
- Develop and maintain reporting on key logistics metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior‑level logistics, supply chain, or trade compliance role.
- Must have advanced Excel – Vlookups & Pivot Tables – will be testing.
- Inventory and warehouse operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, HTS classification, and international shipping documentation.
- Experience managing 3PL relationships and overseeing bonded/FTZ warehouse operations.
- Experience with EDI systems and warehouse management software.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Trade compliance or logistics certification (e.g., CCLP, CTCS, APICS) is a plus.
