An enthusiastic and talented individual with at least 8 years' experience in master planning and placemaking, with a proven ability to lead complex projects of various scales and stages of design. We are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team of urban designers and creatives. The ideal candidate will also have a vested interest in supporting business initiatives that will help shape the continued growth of edge.
Qualifications- Demonstrates a strong ability to lead a team of individuals and provide mentoring to guide professional development;
- Shows a strong passion for urban design and placemaking;
- Can confidently deliver multiple projects to a programme and on budget, using strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills in design;
- Presents excellent visual communication skills through hand drawing, Adobe suite and CAD (preferrably Vectorworks);
- Brings an enthusiastic, innovative and pro‑active approach to working in a team;
- Presents confident and effective communication, organisation and time management skills;
- Shows experience/interest in proactively engaging with developing a growing business;
- Possesses a post‑graduate qualification (or equivalent) in Urban Design or a related subject.
We are an award‑winning, ‘people and places first’ Urban Design and Master planning studio, with offices in Thame and Birmingham, who are looking for an experienced Senior Associate Urban Designer to strengthen our leadership team!
