Financial Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Director to join a growing, internationally operating SME based in Oxfordshire.
This innovative, product-led business has established a strong reputation within its market and is entering an exciting phase of growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring the finance function is equipped to support the next stage of the company's journey.
This role will suit a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys operating in a hands-on environment where they can influence business decisions and make a genuine impact.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
- Lead the finance function, delivering accurate management accounts, Board reporting, budgets, forecasts and KPI reporting.
- Manage cashflow, working capital and financial planning to support continued growth.
- Provide commercial analysis across products, customers and projects, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational performance.
- Maintain strong financial controls, statutory compliance, tax and audit processes.
- Build relationships with external advisers, auditors and banking partners.
- Drive improvements across finance systems, reporting and internal processes to create a scalable finance function.
- Support investment decisions, business cases and international growth initiatives.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Proven experience operating as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Finance Director within a growing SME.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with excellent commercial acumen.
- Experienced in budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and financial reporting.
- Comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing business decisions.
- Experience with in manufacturing, technology, engineering or product-led businesses would be advantageous, as would exposure to international operations and ERP systems.
