Location:

Hybrid working with 1 day per week in Thame Head Office. (OX9)

As a skilled Microsoft Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for developing, designing, and implementing business intelligence solutions using Power BI. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, design data models, create interactive reports and dashboards, and provide data‑driven insights to stakeholders. You will also optimise performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data accuracy and integrity. In addition, you will communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and business users to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and deliver high‑quality BI solutions.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Data Managers (SQL Developers), and other team members to gather and analyse business requirements for BI solutions.
• Design, develop, and implement interactive reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, including data modelling, data visualisation, and data integration.
• Create and maintain data models, data flows, and data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various data sources into Power BI.
• Optimise Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and usability, including data refresh schedules, query optimisation, and report/dashboard design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integrity, data accuracy, and report/dashboard functionality.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and business users on best practices for using Power BI, including data visualisation, data analysis, and report/dashboard development.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Microsoft Power BI and business intelligence.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and business users to understand requirements, provide updates, and deliver BI solutions that meet business needs.

• Proven experience as a Microsoft Power BI Developer, with a strong understanding of Power BI features and functionalities.
• Strong skills in data modelling, data visualisation, and data integration.
• Proficient in Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, and M Query for data transformation and modelling.
• Experience in designing and developing interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Understanding of database concepts. Any understanding of Data warehousing, and ETL processes is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and business users.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of other business intelligence tools and technologies is a plus.
• Microsoft Power BI certification(s) is a plus.
