We’re supporting a well-established global manufacturer within the lifting and heavy equipment sector to recruit a Parts Warehouse Operative for their UK operation. The business designs and produces specialist lifting equipment used worldwide and has a strong reputation for quality, engineering excellence and aftersales support.

Their UK team supports sales, service and parts across the UK and Ireland, working closely with field engineers and workshop teams to keep equipment operational and customers moving.

The role

This position sits within the customer support function and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the parts warehouse. You’ll manage inbound deliveries, stock control, order picking and dispatch, while working closely with service teams to ensure parts are available when needed for repairs and maintenance.

It’s a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being organised, takes pride in a tidy and efficient warehouse, and is comfortable supporting colleagues across service and parts when things get busy.

Key responsibilities

* Manage daily warehouse operations and stock control

* Receive, inspect and book in inbound goods

* Store parts accurately within designated locations

* Pick, pack and dispatch orders to meet delivery requirements

* Coordinate shipments and liaise with couriers and freight providers

* Maintain stock accuracy, rotation and condition

* Carry out stock checks as required

* Support parts enquiries via email and phone during peak periods

* Work closely with service teams to meet repair time frames

* Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment

* Carry out daily equipment checks prior to use

About you

* Previous experience in a warehouse or parts environment

* Comfortable with manual handling tasks

* Forklift licence desirable

* IT literate, ideally with experience using ERP or stock systems

* Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

* Team player who can communicate effectively with colleagues and customers

* Positive, flexible approach and willingness to learn
