Overview

Head Of Repairs – Repairs & Maintenance, Property Services. Up to £87,000 plus package. Our client, a large housing provider, is currently looking for a Head Of Repairs to lead their direct labour team on day-to-day responsive repair contracts.

You will work alongside a commercial manager and the Head Of Planned & Decarbonisation, ensuring P&L, budgets and deadlines are met. You will be responsible for delivering a high level of service and quality, cost control, creating CPP & programming of works and budgeting.

Your direct team will include operations managers, contract managers, supervisors, a direct labour team and office staff. You will report directly to the Repairs director who will support you in making the service a success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the direct labour team on day-to-day responsive repair contracts.
  • Collaborate with the commercial manager and Head Of Planned & Decarbonisation to manage P&L, budgets and deadlines.
  • Ensure service delivery and quality meet the highest standards while controlling costs.
  • Create contracts, programme of works (CPP) and budgets for repairs projects.
  • Manage a team including operations managers, contract managers, supervisors, direct labour and office staff.
  • Report to the Repairs director to support service success and continuous improvement.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Extensive building knowledge with experience in responsive maintenance and partnering frameworks.
  • Experience managing multiple site teams and a large direct labour organisation (DLO).
  • Strategic project planning ability and strong problem-solving skills in complex situations.
  • Good knowledge of up-to-date legislation and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to build a strong working environment and foster teamwork to achieve targets and contract goals.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
