Job Title: Assembly Technician

Location: Long Crendon

Contract Details: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm (1 hour lunch)

Salary: £21,000 - £24,000 per annum (depending on experience)

• 20 days annual leave + UK bank holidays
• 7% employer pension contribution
• Discretionary Christmas shutdown period
• Structured development programme with clear progression to Assembly Technician and advanced technical roles
• Full training provided in soldering, crimping, and fibre optic termination
• Supportive team environment and strong focus on quality and craftsmanship

• Assemble cable and fibre optic assemblies to works orders and technical drawings
• Terminate connectors using crimping and soldering techniques
• Build fibre optic assemblies to manufacturer standards (full training provided)
• Prepare cables, connectors, and sub‑assemblies for production
• Support repair and rework tasks as required
• Conduct visual inspections of completed assemblies
• Perform basic electrical and fibre testing (training provided)
• Ensure all assemblies meet specifications and internal quality standards
• Complete production, inspection, and test documentation accurately
• Report any issues or discrepancies to the Team Leader
• Pick and prepare materials accurately from stock
• Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures at all times

• Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity
• Ability to follow technical instructions accurately
• Reliable, punctual, and organised
• Basic IT literacy

• Previous experience in assembly, workshop, or manufacturing environments
• Experience with crimping or soldering
• Familiarity with cable or fibre optic assemblies
