Job Title: Assembly Technician
Location: Long Crendon
Contract Details: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm (1 hour lunch)
Salary: £21,000 - £24,000 per annum (depending on experience)

- Full training provided in soldering, crimping, and fibre optic termination
- Supportive team environment and strong focus on quality and craftsmanship
- Assemble cable and fibre optic assemblies to works orders and technical drawings
- Terminate connectors using crimping and soldering techniques
- Build fibre optic assemblies to manufacturer standards (full training provided)
- Prepare cables, connectors, and sub‑assemblies for production
- Support repair and rework tasks as required
- Conduct visual inspections of completed assemblies
- Perform basic electrical and fibre testing (training provided)
- Ensure all assemblies meet specifications and internal quality standards
- Complete production, inspection, and test documentation accurately
- Report any issues or discrepancies to the Team Leader
- Pick and prepare materials accurately from stock
- Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures at all times
- Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity
- Ability to follow technical instructions accurately
- Reliable, punctual, and organised
- Basic IT literacy
- Previous experience in assembly, workshop, or manufacturing environments
- Experience with crimping or soldering
- Familiarity with cable or fibre optic assemblies
