Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re building something special ’re a European machine vision business with a clear ambition: to become the most trusted and respected machine vision partner in our industry. Our model is already working, and over the last 18 years, our team has grown from startup to market leader. Now we need to continue our growth in the UK.

This role is the key to that. You’ll own the growth of our OEM customer base across the UK. Finding, winning, and building the partnerships that will fuel our next phase. You won’t be managing a team or sitting in meetings about meetings. You’ll be out in the market, face‑to‑face with the engineers and decision‑makers who design vision into their products, working out how Clearview can become their long‑term partner.

We already have strong relationships with OEMs. This role is about building on that and owning a portfolio of OEM partnerships that drive recurring, high‑value revenue for years to come.

What the Role Looks Like Hunting and winning new OEM accounts.

You’ll identify opportunities through your own prospecting, inbound marketing leads, partner referrals, and industry events. You’ll qualify rigorously, understanding who develops, who decides, and whether there’s a genuine fit before investing time.

Deep, consultative technical selling.

Our sales cycle can vary between 6 and 24 months, from first contact to purchase order. You’ll work through awareness, consideration, and conversion stages. Running demos, arranging feasibility studies, navigating multiple stakeholders (purchasing, engineering, project management, senior leadership), and building proposals that genuinely solve the customer’s problem.

Growing and nurturing key relationships.

Once you’ve won an OEM account, you’ll own that relationship. You’ll develop joint business plans, cross‑sell across our portfolio, and become the trusted advisor that keeps Clearview embedded in their product roadmap.

Working across exciting verticals.

Factory automation, food and beverage, automotive, logistics, pharmaceuticals, scientific research. Machine vision touches some of the most interesting and fastest‑growing sectors in manufacturing and beyond.

Being a visible presence in the market.

Trade shows, seminars, webinars, customer visits. You’ll represent Clearview externally and bring market intelligence back to shape our strategy.

Pipeline discipline.

You’ll manage your opportunities proactively in CRM, produce accurate forecasts, and work closely with the Sales Director and wider team to align on priorities.

Who You Are

We’re less interested in whether your CV ticks every box and more interested in how you think, how you sell, and what drives you. Our best people across Europe share certain traits, and those matter more than years on a specific product line.

Technically credible

You can hold your own in a conversation with an engineering director. You understand how imaging systems work, or you come from a closely related technical world and can learn fast. You might be an experienced technical salesperson in machine vision, industrial automation, sensors, or a similar field. Or you might be an engineer, in machine vision, motion capture, broadcast imaging, robotics, scientific instrumentation, or test and measurement, who’s increasingly drawn to the commercial side and ready to make that move.

What matters most is that you can genuinely understand a customer’s engineering problem and figure out whether Clearview can help solve it.

Commercially hungry

You relish the challenge of finding new business. You’re proactive, resilient, and energized by building something from scratch. You don’t wait to be given leads. You go and create them. You qualify ruthlessly because you know your time is your most valuable resource. When it’s time to close, you have the confidence and skill to negotiate well and get the deal done.

Strategically

minded

You think about accounts and markets, not just individual transactions. You can build an account plan, identify where the real opportunities are in a vertical, and prioritise your effort for maximum impact. You understand that an OEM relationship is a long game, from design‑in through to production, and…
