- You will be responsible for ensuring the roadworthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of the vehicle allocated to you
- You will complete daily pre-use inspection check sheets for your vehicle, as well as any specialised equipment required as part of your daily duties
- You will, where necessary, operate specialist BOC equipment such as forklift trucks and cranes to load and unload vehicles
- You will apply defensive driving techniques and utilise your knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road networks to ensure the safe transportation and delivery of gas cylinders
- You will complete approximately 15-20 gas cylinder deliveries per day to customers within your designated area
- You will use safe manual handling techniques when delivering and collecting cylinders to and from customer sites
- You will be responsible for adhering to all Health & Safety policies, procedures and operational requirements
- You are holding an HGV/LGV Cat C licence
- ADR (Class 2 in packages)
- A driver CPC is required
- Knowledge of Defensive driving and Driver Regulations, including HSA regulations
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers
- Having a high level of personal integrity suits to your profile
- Have held the LGV entitlement for a minimum of 2 years, for insurance purposes
