Role Description The Academic Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane, responsible for leading the academic vision and implementation of entrepreneurship-focused programs. This role involves designing and reviewing curricula, aligning course content with industry needs, and ensuring academic quality and compliance with Mumbai University standards. The Academic Head will oversee faculty recruitment, training, and performance, and coordinate teaching schedules, assessments, and student support processes.
Daily responsibilities include mentoring faculty, engaging with students, collaborating with leadership on new initiatives, and monitoring academic outcomes and program effectiveness. The role also includes building external academic and industry partnerships, representing the institute at events, and contributing to continuous innovation in teaching and learning.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Educational Management and Education, with experience overseeing academic programs or departments.
Proven ability in Curriculum Development, including designing and updating entrepreneurship-oriented courses and learning outcomes.
Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, industry partners, and academic bodies.
Demonstrated Team Management skills, including leading, mentoring, and developing diverse academic and support teams.
Advanced degree in Education, Management, Entrepreneurship, or a related field; doctoral qualification is an advantage.
Experience in entrepreneurship, startup ecosystems, or business development, preferably in an academic or training environment.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to use data to improve academic quality and student outcomes.
Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered pedagogy and openness to innovative teaching methods and educational technology.
