Role Description  This is a full-time, on-site Student Counselor role based at the Leap Gee Bee Education Thane center. The Student Counselor will engage with prospective students and families, conduct detailed profile assessments, and guide them on suitable countries, courses, and universities aligned with their academic background and career aspirations. Responsibilities include explaining application processes, documentation requirements, scholarship options, and test preparation pathways, as well as coordinating with internal teams for admissions, coaching, and visa filing.

The role involves maintaining accurate student records, following up on leads, conducting information sessions or workshops, and ensuring a positive, ethical experience for every student. The Student Counselor will also support walk-in inquiries, respond to phone and online queries, and contribute to center-level targets and service quality standards.

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience in the industry.
Student Counseling and Education skills to assess profiles, advise on study abroad pathways, and provide structured academic guidance.
Career Counseling skills to help students clarify goals, explore global career options, and align course choices with long-term plans.
Strong Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, active listening, and the ability to explain complex processes simply.
Customer Service skills to handle inquiries professionally, build trust with students and families, and manage expectations with empathy.
Relevant experience or knowledge in the international education domain, admission procedures, and visa processes is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; qualifications in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or related fields are an advantage.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment, use basic office and CRM tools, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to work on-site in Thane and occasionally support events, seminars, or outreach activities as needed.
