Financial Accountant - Maidenhead - £38,000 / £42,000 - Hybrid Working About the Client

Wade Macdonald are currently working with a well-established organisation that supports businesses with advanced operational and data‑driven solutions across a variety of industries. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Financial Accountant to join a busy finance team. The role will suit an experienced professional who is comfortable working independently while contributing to wider team objectives.

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with current regulations
• Managing Postponed VAT Accounting (PVA)
• Completing annual P11D submissions
• Posting and reconciling prepayments, accruals and expense journals
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Processing accrual imports and general ledger journals
• Performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with month‑end and year‑end close procedures
• Using Sage extensively for financial reporting and transactional processing

The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience in a similar Financial Accountant position, with strong technical VAT knowledge including PVA. Advanced Excel skills are essential. Experience using Sage and a familiarity with post‑Brexit processes would be beneficial. You will be detail‑focused, organised and confident working within a fast‑paced environment.
