Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain practical experience before pursuing Clinical or Educational Psychology?

A supportive SEN and SEMH school in Thatcham is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join their team. You will support children and young people aged 5–18 with Autism, ADHD, trauma backgrounds, anxiety, and other emotional and mental health needs.

This Mental Health Assistant role is an excellent opportunity to develop hands‑on therapeutic and behavioural experience in a structured school environment.

• Support students with emotional regulation and anxiety management
• Assist with implementing behaviour and therapy‑informed strategies
• Provide 1:1 and small group intervention support
• Work alongside SENCOs, therapists, and mental health professionals
• Help create a safe and nurturing learning environment

You will gain valuable experience in trauma‑informed practice, behaviour management, and individualised support planning.
