Assessments can be carried out within 48 hours, and in some cases residents are welcomed the same day.
The home is located in the centre of Thatcham and employs dementia champions to improve residents’ quality of life through daily activities and reminiscence sessions. The interior is colour‑themed with memory triggers. Chefs create menus with fresh ingredients and meals are personalised to each resident’s dietary needs.
Residents benefit from a sense of community, physical and mental stimulation through activities such as reminiscence sessions, exercise and music classes. Staff discover what residents enjoy and organise the social calendar around those interests.
