Thatcham Research is looking for a strategic and hands on Data Delivery Manager to take ownership of technical delivery including data transformation, integration and application development.

• Lead and Inspire:
  Manage and develop a talented team of developers, data engineers, and Dev Ops professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Drive Delivery:
  Organise and oversee multiple work streams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
• Develop Capability:
  Mentor team members, identify skills gaps, and implement training plans to build technical expertise and career progression.
• Ensure Technical Excellence:
  Uphold coding standards, conduct reviews, and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Strategic Resource Planning:
  Lead recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to maintain a high-performing team.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  Act as the key point of contact, translating business requirements into actionable technical plans.
• Champion Best Practice:
  Implement robust data governance and security standards across all solutions.

• Proven experience in managing technical teams and delivering complex data solutions.
• Supportive leadership skills with a track record of developing people and building capability.
• Hands on knowledge of Azure data platforms (Data Factory, Synapse, Logic Apps, Functions, API Management) and Dev Ops practices.
• Expertise in data governance, security, and quality assurance.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Salary - Circa £66,000 negotiable dependent on skills & experience.

Our standard working hours are 8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday - 8:30 - 15:45 (Talk to us about flexible working if this doesn’t quite suit you – we take work-life balance seriously!)

We understand the benefits of remote and in-person collaboration and therefore have a hybrid working model – you’ll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least two days per week.
