Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias (60/40)
We are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a well-established manufacturing site with strong investment plans and clear opportunities for progression.
This role would suit a hands‑on engineer with strong electrical fault‑finding skills who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and wants long‑term career development.
The RoleReporting to the Engineering Manager, you will provide electrical and mechanical planned and reactive maintenance support across a wide range of production equipment.
You will play a key role in improving plant reliability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and working closely with operations to minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Reactive and planned maintenance across the site to ensure safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment
- Electrical fault finding on PLC‑controlled systems, motors, drives (AC/DC), inverters, servo drives, and single/three‑phase supplies
- Mechanical maintenance including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, shafts, pulleys, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Working to PM schedules and monitoring equipment performance (OEE, downtime analysis)
- Proactive fault prevention and continuous improvement activities
- Use of a CMMS to record maintenance activities and support asset management
- Identification and management of critical spares
- Coaching and supporting operators with basic asset care
- Supporting project work, installations, and improvementkę initiatives

- Boilers, compressors, and steam systems
- Large‑scale manufacturingмек processing equipment
- Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer (approx. 60‑70% electrical)
- Level 3 Electrical qualification minimum (apprentice trained preferred)
- At least 5 years’ experience manipulate a manufacturing or factory environment
- Strong PLC fault‑finding skills (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley preferred)
- Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Confident working independently and as part of a team Strong diagnostic bildirib problem‑solving ability
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- Stability in employment (not a job hopper)
- Rotating shifts (early, late, nights – weekdays only)
- No contracted weekends
- Paid overtime available
- Holiday cover paid at enhanced rates
Salary: £50,000
