The Company

ATA Recruitment are working with a leading UK manufacturer to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their large industrial site near Thatcham. The business has operated for decades and is recognised as one of the UK's most established and respected construction manufacturing brands.

The Thatcham facility has been a key local employer for over 40 years and continues to grow through investment in machinery, continuous improvement projects, and employee development.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and fault-finding on automated production machinery within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Electrical breakdown response and fault finding
  • Working on PLC-controlled machinery
  • Fault finding on 3-phase systems
  • Supporting continuous improvement and LEAN activities
  • Maintaining automated production equipment
About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Strong electrical maintenance experience within manufacturing, industrial, or automated environments
  • Experience fault finding on automated machinery
  • Knowledge of motors, drives, and control panels
  • Experience working on 3-phase equipment
  • A recognised engineering qualification (Level 3 or above)
