This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the quarrying, aggregates and recycling industry. No previous quarrying experience is required, as full training and support will be provided.
You will gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside experienced operators, learning how to operate plant and machinery, assist with maintenance and understand the production of quality recycled and primary aggregate products.
The Role
As a Trainee Quarry Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the maintenance of washplant equipment and mobile plant.
* Learning to safely operate quarrying and mobile plant machinery.
* Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the quarry and processing plant.
* Learning about the production of recycled and primary aggregate products.
* Carrying out general site duties and keeping the working environment clean and organised.
* Working alongside experienced members of the team to develop practical plant operation and engineering skills.
* Following all company health and safety procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
* Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
* Is comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environment.
* Has a genuine interest in quarrying, engineering, plant or machinery.
* Can work well as part of a team.
* Takes health and safety seriously.
* Has a willingness to develop new skills and progress within the business.
Previous quarrying experience is not essential — full training will be provided.
