What You’ll Do
- Learn industry knowledge, skills, and best practices on the job from Consultants, Sr. Consultants, Regional and Area Managers, business partners, and outside sources.
- Work independently as a Consultant within two years of joining the organization.
- Perform all of the other essential functions of a Consultant with varying degrees of assistance from other team members.
- Generate a customer pipeline by marketing LB services for all given lines of business in the service area. This may include but is not limited to exhibiting at regional conferences, conducting client lunch and learns, visiting potential and current client locations, and writing industry-specific blogs and articles.
- Participate in all aspects of project development, including but not limited to bid and contract development, conceptual planning, design, construction administration, maintenance audits, site safety and equipment inspections, and modernization projects for vertical transportation systems.
- Manage active projects with assistance from team members to ensure client satisfaction, quality, timeliness of delivery, and timely billing and payment.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, billing, delivery, and all other activities associated with other business lines in the assigned service area as requested.
- Provide scheduled and requested reports with assistance to business support functions and leadership as requested, including but not limited to equipment and systems status, percentage of work completed, billing percentages, contract additions, change orders, and deficiencies lists.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hat, or other safety requirement of LB or the general contractor when performing on‑site, fieldwork, inspections, audits, surveys, construction administrative services, etc.
What You’ll Bring
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- 1‑2 years of experience in materials management, waste management operations, supply chain management, automated transport, material storage/retrieval systems, bulk and unit material handling/distribution systems, or warehouse intralogistics.
- Previous knowledge of the industry, including expert knowledge in one or more of the following areas: elevators, escalators, moving walkways, mid‑and/or high‑rise building design, specifications and analysis, or other vertical transportation equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to ASME codes, standards, and safety rules.
