Bistro Server​/Bartender

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to the service manual.
• Build and create dishes when necessary, according to the Courtyard Culinary Book.
• Do all necessary "mise en place" and side work as assigned.
• Answer any guest questions about the menu.
• Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable).
• Check food before serving to ensure appearance, temperature, and portions are correct.
• Complete all Service Marriott trainings within 90 days of hiring.
  
  Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.

Must communicate in English. Self‑starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Communicate well with guests. Willing to "pitch‑in" and help co‑workers. Team player. Must withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Remain professional at all times and treat all guests and associates with courtesy and respect. Every associate is a guest‑relations ambassador.

Meet and exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance. Adaptable to change and willing to learn new skills or improve existing ones. Solve routine problems and ask for help when needed.

Adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and reporting safety hazards and concerns.
