This role will serve as the senior hands‑on finance leader responsible for elevating accounting operations, strengthening controls, and creating reliable financial infrastructure across a multi‑site manufacturing footprint. The position requires an operator’s mindset — someone who can execute day‑to‑day while also setting standards, building discipline, and acting as a trusted business partner to ownership and executive leadership.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead all accounting and finance operations across multiple manufacturing locations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Own the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
- Establish and enforce standardized close schedules, policies, and procedures across all sites.
- Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances, partnering closely with plant leadership to improve data quality and operational insight.
- Implement stronger controls around inventory counts, reconciliations, and production reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of ownership for audited financials and coordination with external audit partners.
- Evaluate and improve existing accounting systems and workflows, including process cleanup and documentation.
- Develop forward‑looking financial reporting and operating metrics to support leadership decision‑making.
- Partner with operations and leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow visibility.
- Support strategic initiatives including growth planning, capital investments, and commercial expansion.
- Mentor and develop a lean finance and accounting team, setting expectations and building accountability.
- Act as a financial thought partner to ownership and senior leadership, bringing structure and clarity to an evolving organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within manufacturing or production‑driven environments.
- Hands‑on experience supporting multi‑site operations.
- Strong background in close management, financial cleanup, and process standardization.
- Experience operating in lean or founder‑led environments undergoing professionalization.
- Working knowledge of inventory accounting and cost structures.
- Prior exposure to audits and external financial review processes.
- Ability to balance execution with leadership and business partnership.
- Comfortable operating onsite and embedded with operations.
