In the heart of The Dalles, Oregon, Adventist Health Columbia Gorge has served the Columbia River Gorge community since 1901. We are comprised of a 49-bed hospital, various medical offices, home health, a birthing center and a vast scope of services located throughout The Dalles and the surrounding areas. Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist,alagaaff physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.

• High School Education/GED or equivalent:
  Required

• Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution:
  Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification:
  Required
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP:
  Preferred
• Phlebotomy certificate:
  Preferred

• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS:
  Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical Assistant - NCCT (NCCT) or Certified Medical Assistant- NHA (CMA-NHA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) or American Medical Tech Board MA (MA-AMT):
  Required

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
• Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
• Performs audiometry and vision testing.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
