Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a qualified ICU RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in The Dalles, Oregon. The role involves providing comprehensive critical care to patients in the intensive care unit.
Required Qualifications- At least one year of recent experience as an ICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
- TNCC, NIHSS certification
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients and respond to changes in condition
- Administer complex medications and treatments per approved critical care nursing techniques
- Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment
- Ensure patient safety and comfort in a high‑acuity environment
- Record significant conditions, reactions, and interventions, notifying appropriate provider of changes in patient status
- Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters
- Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
- Provide education to patients and families about ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
- Communicate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope
- Follow hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient reading, writing, and English language communication
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical abilities – stationary position, moving equipment 50‑100 lbs, pushing, pulling, bending
- Interpersonal skills – work effectively with diverse personnel
- Technical/motor skills – fine manipulation and movement during procedures
- Mental resilience – manage high‑pressure environments and irregular activity schedules
- Sensory – visual acuity and effective communication
