Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.

Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

Handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy.

Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.

Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).

Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.

Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and adhere to food safety regulations.

Ensure safety procedures are followed, report unsafe conditions, and perform equipment inspections.

Create a welcoming environment, assist customers with product questions, and comply with all laws and company policies.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts professionally, and act with honesty and integrity.

Support and assist diverse customer groups, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Customer service experience
Effective communication skills
Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

Customer service experience
Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
