Responsibilities- preliminary assessments
- concept creation
- internal and external problem resolution

- Being the EoR for designs
- Providing coverage for project leads
- Depending on bandwidth, may also lead projects
- Leading BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings
- DIV 27 specification creation or modification
- conduct site visits
- review technical documents
- learn from more senior team leaders and be mentored
- Managing the relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Sign and seal telecommunications design packages
- Mentoring other team members
- Working with the lead engineer and or department manager to identify processes to make the department run more efficiently
- Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college
- Minimum 8 years’ experience actively designing or leading designs for Telecommunications structured cabling systems
- Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards
- Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and its application to telecommunications structured cabling systems
- Proficiency with Bluebeam
- Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients
- Excellent project management skills
- Familiarity with responding to RFPs
- Experience in providing Quality Assurance and checking of telecommunications systems designed by others
- Experience with start-up and commissioning of telecommunications systems
- Experience creating a budget for a project
- Experience creating and maintaining a project schedule
- Experience identifying and mitigating company risk
- PE license; ability to obtain multiple PE licenses required
- 4 years telecommunications design experience in Data Centers
- Experience working on other low voltage systems including security, audio/visual, wireless
- Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms
- Knowledge of telecom infrastructure for controls systems and security systems
- Thorough knowledge of CSI or AIA specification writing procedures
- Credential as an RCDD
