Overview UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Observation Unit. This role is ideal for a strong Med‑Surg leader who is passionate about team development, patient outcomes, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Observation Unit
- Coach, mentor, and develop a high‑performing nursing team
- Drive quality, safety, patient experience, and compliance
- Manage staffing, resources, and performance outcomes
- Partner with physicians and leaders to support continuous improvement
- Serve as a change leader for unit initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Florida RN license (current)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- 2+ years of nursing practice experience
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Maintains/exceeds specialty educational requirements
- Master’s Degree
- 3–5 years hospital leadership experience
- 3–5 years Medical‑Surgical leadership experience
- BLS/ACLS
