We are available for urgent care pet needs 4 pm – 12 midnight Monday – Friday and 10 am – 6 pm Saturday & Sunday.

Clinical Leadership & Patient Care
  • Lead and support technicians and assistants during urgent care cases, triage, diagnostics, treatment, and recovery.
  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, procedures, anesthesia, and emergency interventions.
  • Ensure accurate triage and prioritization of urgent cases.
  • Maintain high standards for patient monitoring, comfort, and safety.
  • Oversee radiology, laboratory testing, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and medication administration.
Workflow & Operations
  • Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient, timely care.
  • Assign tasks to technicians and assistants based on skill level and case urgency.
  • Ensure treatment plans and estimates are properly communicated and documented.
  • Monitor case progression and assist with problem‑solving during high‑volume periods.
  • Ensure SOPs are followed consistently.
Team Leadership & Training
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for technicians and assistants.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new clinical staff.
  • Provide real‑time coaching, feedback, and support during shifts.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work culture.
  • Communicate clinical concerns to management in a professional, solution‑focused manner.
Client Communication
  • Support clear, compassionate client communication regarding diagnostics, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Assist with difficult or high‑stress client interactions as needed.
  • Ensure client education and follow‑up instructions are accurate and complete.
Safety, Compliance & Quality Control
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety, anesthesia monitoring, infection control, and controlled substance protocols.
  • Promote OSHA principles and proper PPE use.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for quality improvement and workflow enhancement.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certified Veterinary Technician preferred; experienced Veterinary Technician considered.
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of clinical veterinary experience; urgent care or emergency experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, and emergency procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and supportive in high‑stress situations.
  • Strong client communication and medical record management skills.
  • Flexible scheduling required, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
  • Must be reliable and able to lead during peak urgent care times.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.
