Accounting Manager

Responsibilities- Lead and manage the month-end close process for multiple legal entities, including preparation and review of trial balances and financial statements.
- Oversee daily accounting functions, weekly bank reporting, month-end close activities, and internal control procedures.
- Assist in preparing financial materials and presentations for periodic leadership and board meetings.
- Monitor daily and weekly bank activity; reconcile bank transactions to the cash subledger and ERP system.
- Prepare, document, and review account reconciliations.
- Develop and maintain financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
- Manage all aspects of general accounting, including cash and bank reconciliations, audit support, and month-end/year-end processes, invoicing reconciliation and cutoff procedures, accounts payable processing, comprehensive account reconciliations, expense reporting, expense accruals, and departmental cost tracking, payroll journal entries and cash application reviews, accounting policy and procedure development, maintaining detailed close checklists, timelines, and system integration workflows, and performance of additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager; CPA preferred but not required.
- Experience in Energy or Oil & Gas industries required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience managing external audits.
- Experience designing processes, procedures, and training materials.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel requirements less than 25%.
- Occasional local travel to regional sites or job locations.
