** General Summary
** Under minimal supervision, this position provides professional accounting support to the General Accounting and/or department related to the maintenance, processing and analysis of accounting records in a manner consistent with the Company policies and procedures.
** Essential Job Accountabilities
*** Prepare and maintain accounting records that validate the accuracy of accounting information and ensure compliance with GAAP.
* Prepare, review, and post journal entries to support the monthly close process.
* Examine, analyze and interpret accounting records to support strategic decision making.
* Participate in cross training efforts for developmental purposes and departmental coverage.
* Prepare selected balance sheet reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
* Perform special projects and additional assignments as directed that support the General Accounting function.
* Participate in the review of the monthly financial package to ensure the accuracy of financial information and to assist in strategic decision making.
* Respond to inquiries made by upper management related to financial package to support strategic decision making.
* Review of various accounting reports to ensure the accuracy and clarity of information presented.
** Education
* ** Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting
** Work Experience
*** 3-5 Years Accounting experience preferred
** Knowledge, skills, and abilities
*** Advanced computer spreadsheet skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP
* Analytical skills
