Job DescriptionThe Part-Time Specialist IV, Resource Access and Support provides essential support across a variety of functions within the department. This role involves processing physical materials for circulation, offering general departmental support, assisting the cataloging team with record maintenance, supporting electronic resources management, and aiding the systems manager with technical tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn multiple aspects of library operations.

- Basic knowledge of library operations or a demonstrated interest in library services
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficient with basic computer applications
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- Knowledge of Microsoft products
- Analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. Occasional lifting and handling of physical materials may be required. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Work Schedule and Conditions- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
- This is a part-time position with flexible hours scheduled to meet departmental needs
- Work is primarily performed in a library setting, utilizing standard office equipment and computer systems
- High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Hourly Pay Rate is $16.33
