Job Description

Construction Manager – oversee and coordinate solar energy construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

Your Role

Lead technical activities, collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors, and maintain safety and quality standards on site.

What You Will Do
  • Provide leadership in the initial planning stage and develop detailed job descriptions
  • Schedule and coordinate projects, managing time to meet deadlines
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, communicate budget progress and adjust when necessary
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee construction and maintenance activities of assigned structures and facilities
  • Ensure safety standards and guidelines are followed on site
  • Select, contract and supervise contractors, ensuring quality standards and specifications are met
  • Oversee contract negotiations, revisions and amendments
  • Collaborate with clients and design professionals to resolve problems and issues
  • Manage actions due to delays, weather or emergencies
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with owners, managers, designers, supervisors and tradespeople
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • 7–10 years of renewable construction experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Knowledge of Procore or Bluebeam preferred
  • Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specifications and regulations
  • Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to make quick decisions under pressure and solve problems
  • Strong multitasking and analytical skills
  • Understanding of engineering, architectural and construction drawings
  • Spanish language ability (preferred)
